Communications & Community Engagement Director ID- 11146

Description We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Communication & Community Engagement Director) with strong marketing experience to develop and manage strategic communications that enhance the organization's image and public understanding. This role will be responsible for creating compelling content, coordinating media relations, and executing marketing campaigns across various platforms. Examples of Duties Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive public relations and marketing strategies to promote the organization's mission, services, and events.

Serve as the primary media contact; prepare press releases, media kits, and coordinate interviews or press conferences. Maintain and update the organization's website, ensuring all information is accurate, current, accessible, and aligned with branding and communications goals. Oversee social media channels, posting regular updates, engaging with followers, and ensuring consistent messaging across platforms.

Create and distribute newsletters, brochures, flyers, and other promotional materials to support events and initiatives. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure cohesive messaging across all communication and marketing channels. Bring continuity to the organization's Public Information Officer (PIO) efforts, ensuring unified messaging, branding, and outreach across all levels and activities.

Monitor media coverage and campaign performance using analytics tools; prepare reports and adjust strategies based on data insights. Provide boots-on-the-ground support during special events ensuring smooth execution of public relations efforts. Represent the organization at public events, community meetings, and outreach initiatives to build awareness and foster community engagement.

Respond promptly to media inquiries and maintain up-to-date crisis communication plans. Typical Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related field. 3+ years of professional experience in public relations, marketing, or communications.
