Job Summary

Thrive Ortho & Spine is a rapidly growing medical practice with 6 locations in Lilburn, Decatur, College Park, Sandy Springs, Woodstock and Gainesville. Thrive Ortho & Spine is seeking a Billing Specialist to answer all incoming accounts calls and address billing requests. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical billing and coding in the healthcare field.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer all incoming billing calls into the medical practice & follow-up on any missed calls before end-of-day.
  • Addressing all patient account concerns in our Electronic Medical Record system, eClinicalWorks.
  • Receiving and sorting daily payments received.
  • Posting, processing, and coding of the daily encounters.
  • Data entry of patient information into our Electronic Medical Records system, eClinicalWorks.
  • Communicate with other stakeholders such as other medical providers and attorneys to share patient information and provide periodic updates.
  • Promptly respond to billing requests by insurance/funding companies and attorneys within a 24-hour timeframe.
  • Other job duties that may arise in the role of Billing Coordinator.

Experience:

  • ICD-10: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Medical Billing: 3 years (Preferred)

  • Medical coding: 3 years (Preferred)
