Medical Assistant/Scribe ID- 10668
About the position
We are seeking an attentive and personable team player to join our practice as a Medical Assistant/Scribe. This role is ideal for individuals who are looking to advance their careers in the medical field, particularly those who are pre-MD, pre-PA, nursing, or pre-PT students. The position requires a proficient knowledge of medical terminology and anatomical locations, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task are essential, as the Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Medical Doctor in the exam room during patient visits, documenting electronic medical records (EMR) with visit details, physical exams, diagnosis codes, and MD orders.
Additionally, the Medical Assistant will relay patient instructions to check-out and to the patient and/or family, assist with setting up tests and procedures, and manage the MD's schedule by collaborating with Front Desk members and the Call Center. The Medical Assistant will also be tasked with editing and pasting medical transcription from our dictation service, answering emails and phone calls as needed, and communicating with management regarding any issues or errors that may arise. This position primarily operates out of our Douglasville and Decatur offices, with some flexibility required to travel to other neighboring Peachtree Spine clinics, which increases the likelihood of hire. This is a full-time position with an 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday, offering a competitive pay starting from $18 per hour.
